In this 1980's WHEN Radio studio shot you see Peter doing, what else? The Mid-day Peter King Show on 62WHEN. Today you can often hear Peter on CBS radio where he's a reporter often covering breaking stories in the Southeast.
In November, 1985, Joan Hastings wrote a feature article for the Syracuse New Times titled, "The Name Game." On the front page, Ron Curtis, proclaiming, "I'm not Ron Curtis.'"
It was during the research for this story that New Times photographer, Michael Davis, took this shot of Peter at 62 WHEN's studios, then located at 620 Old Liverpool Rd.
The main point of this feature story was that many on-air personalities do not use their real names for a variety of reasons, including the reduction of nuisance calls at all times of the day and night at home.
In this story we learn that Ron Curtis really isn't Ron Curtis. Rod Wood isn't really Rod Wood and Peter King.... well....
